During the 12th FYP, China will add 59,183 new highway mileages. Given the steady monetary policy and active fiscal policy, priority of road construction will be given to central and western provinces, including Sichuan, Hunan, Xinjiang and Inner Mongolia. Domestic asphalt storage is building up year by year. What role will China’s asphalt market play in the Asian picture?
In other Asian nations, actions are also being taken. Indian government will build 35,000 km highway in the next 5 years. According to prediction of OECD, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand and other SE Asian economies will record 5% economic growth, enough to support infrastructure construction. In the Middle East, Iran, Dubai and other main oil suppliers as well as asphalt export destinations of Asia will be more actively engaged in exploring Asian market.
The 4th Asia Bitumen Summit will be held on 14th-15th, March, 2012 in Bangkok, Thailand. CBI China sincerely invites industry elites from various countries to gather in Thailand to obtain latest updates on asphalt market and seek business opportunities, spurring more trade cooperation in Thailand of 2012.
