The East Mediterranean Gas Summit will be held under the patronage of Egypt President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi and Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades to present a revisited strategy for monetizing gas discoveries in the Eastern Mediterranean.
Natural Gas findings in the East Mediterranean are changing the Energy landscape of the region. The Summit will highlight the geopolitics of Egyptian Natural Gas development and discuss how regional cooperation can offer an effective platform to serve the energy security needs of Europe and the NEW Egypt.
The focus of the summit will be on the inclusion of Cyprus in strategic gas deals with Egypt and the implication of monetizing gas discoveries offshore Cyprus on growth and inclusive developments in both countries.
The summit also proposes a critical discussion of the Natural Gas trade opportunities and risks and highlights how Egypt’s gas export infrastructure can redefine the Energy strategies in the Mediterranean.
