Dec. 1997 – Mar. 2002 VEBA Oil Operations Production Engineering (Oil and Gas plants, Libya) -Five years of work experiences as a Production Engineer at the oil field dealing with the oil and gas stations. -Attended many seminars held by service companies regarding new technologies in the oil and gas industry. -Worked on projects with geologists, geophysicists, chemists and petro- physicists. -Involved in reporting the production data to the Tripoli/Libya office daily and assisting in management. -Involved in testing of oil production wells and water injection wells monthly. -Worked in oil plant and was responsible for the main gas plant in the Ghani field in Libya. -Also worked on re-development of the Zenad oil station.
The following projects were done while working at VEBA Oil Operations company:
1.Two Research Projects on Water Injection. Working under the supervision of Charles C. Sanden, Production Operation Advisor, and Mohamed A. Rahuma, Production Operation Supervisor as a Reservoir Engineer. 2.Enhanced Oil Recovery and improving the water injection system in Ghani Field.

May 2002 – Present University of Regina Reservoir Engineering (Canada)
-Research/teacher assistant, Petroleum Technology Research Center “PTRC”, Regina, SK., Canada. Affiliated with University of Regina Petroleum Systems Engineering Department. -Using different simulators (IMEX, STARS, and GEM) to stimulate, recover, and enhance heavy and bitumen oils from Canadian heavy oil reservoirs. -Using Fortran Program to solve and model PDE which describes the fluid flow in porous media for both horizontal and vertical oil and gas wells. -Computer Lab assistant for ENPE 470 (Reservoir Modelling) at the University of Regina where students applied different CMG simulators to model different oil and gas reservoirs. 1996 – 1997 Al-Fateh University Faculty of Engineering (Libya) -Research project in the area of the reservoir on: Two and Three Phase Relative Permeability. Under the supervision of Dr M. Benrewin. |
