OTHER EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Marine Project Group The duties of a modern VLCC / FSOP Deck Officer (if he is any good) is really 90% performing the duties of the Deck Engineer. In order to be a successful Person in Charge, one must understand the tasks to be performed. For example one cannot successfully supervise welding the shell plating on a Vessel during refit if one is not a certified welder himself. I am very much a ‘hands on’ Officer with exceptionally high technical skills in the operation, repair and maintenance of Marine Structures. Striking out on ones own requires courage and confidence. I specialize in the repair, maintenance and operation of VLCC / FSOP and other Marine Structures, perform FLIR inspections of switchboards, install and repair complex Electrical, Electronic and Control systems, supervise Refits and Drydockings, perform Load Master and Pilotage Duties, ect. I am also experienced in Hydraulics and Pneumatics. More details are available at www.marineprojectgroup.com Having these varied interests is important in order to keep an overall active and positive frame of mind and it is my goal to offer a well rounded knowledge base to my Clients, Customers and Employers such that they can be assured that every aspect of the job shall be addressed down to the smallest detail. Honour and integrity, performing the task at hand with safety and efficiency to the highest standards are the foremost attributes of my work ethics both in my business and on the Ship
