Destructive Test Instruments Tooke gauage, Barcol/Pencil/shore impressor hardness, Adhesion Testing viz. Dolly Pull off/Digital Peel testing (for Thermoplastics)/X-cut/Tape Pull off, Comb gauge.
Non-Destructive Test Instruments - Magnetic Pull off /Electro magnetic/Eddy current Thickiness gauges, Surface profile viz. Replica Tape, Rougness gauge/ISO & Kean-Tator Comparators, Low Voltage & High Voltage DC/AC holiday detectors, Sling psychrometer, Salt contamination Meter.
Field & Laboratory Testing Procedures for External & Internal Pipe coating Soluble Iron/chloride level determination using Kitigawa/Merkoquant test sticks & Quantab test paper, Hot water Soak, Water absorption, Stripping, cure, Adhesion, Pin Hole, Solvent Rub, Bend, DSC, Gel time, CathodicDisbondment, Moisture Content, Melt Flow Rate, Sieve Test analysis.
International Standards NACE, SSPC, ISO for Surface Preparation & ASTM, DNV, CAN-CSA, DIN, API for various field and laboratory testing methods.
Coordinating with production personnel in maintaining quality product by controlling the process parameters.
Having wide exposure on various Coating Systems viz. 3 Layer Poly Ethylene/Poly Propylene, FBE Coatings, Solvent Free and Solvent based Epoxy Coatings, Coal Tar Enamel Coatings, and Reinforced Concrete Weight Coating, Poly Urethane coatings on rises/bends, Heat shrinkable field joint coatings and anode Installation job
Designing Anode weight & current requirement for Sacrificial Anode Type Cathodic Protection System based on Approved Drawing and Client survey details.
Developing anode distribution & installation drawings.
Assisting the GM in day-to-day activities and keeping him abreast on development of ongoing job.
Conversant with various testing procedures viz. Current capacity, Passivity, IGC.
Handling Inspectors from various Inspection Agencies.
Maintenance of ISO Documents & Schedule
Bachelor in Chemical Engineering from Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal
