Responsibilities/Achievements:
My responsibilities as the technical head of a $3M+ pa electrical automation services organisation involves managing senior staff, managing clients, consulting, training, developing systems architectures, functional descriptions & specifications, standards, MCC's, communication networks, rapid application development toolsets, information technology, DCS & PLC conversions, selling/marketing, billing, appraisal of tenders and quotations and business development in food and beverage, meat processing, automotive, metals, pulp and paper, textile and water industries. The role is a culmination of previous roles with an equal mix of commercial and technical skills as general manager, branch manager, project manager, senior project engineer and project engineer in the same company with heavy emphasis on the Citect, Allen Bradley and Rockwell Automation platforms covering drives, PLC's, SCADA and ancillary systems. Some of my projects are spray dryers, evaporators, powder transport systems, CIP systems, paper converting, statistical weighing, packaging, grain handling, malt making, coordinated part conveyors, robot interfacing, vision systems, heating and ventilation.
Integrated Automation is a leading industrial automation systems integrator in Victoria and I've been in the drivers seat that has seen its growth from 3 engineers to 25 across 3 Victorian offices and an overseas joint venture in Mumbai, India. Major clients are Nestle, Fonterra, International Malting, Barrett Burston Malting, Kimberly Clark, Tyco, Rockwell Automation, Downer MBL, Goodman Fielder, Warrnambool Cheese and Butter, Niro, Bluescope Steel, Meat Processing Systems Corp (USA) and M. C. Herd.
I have a strong IT presence and have been responsible for developing and evolving the companies IT systems and infrastructure, like key business systems for a sister group company, an Allen Bradley/Rockwell Automation distributor, for proposal management with full mobile support for field sales engineers. |
