? SHIFT CHEMIST · Pakistan Refinery Ltd (Lab, ISO 9001-2000, 14000 & 18000 Certified) – Aug 2000 to date
? RESPONSIBILITIES · Supervise and guide the technicians or other staff working under him. Conducting the test and analysis. · To arrange and perform all laboratory testing of plant stream, utilities, waste water treatment and finish products during rotational shift. · Ensure testing of plant and tank from samples and whenever required the sampling of such samples. · Prepared the standard solution and reagent and to ensure the availability of chemicals apparatus use in the testing / analysis. · Keep as update knowledge of all products specification and test methods. · Ensure good house keeping. · Arrange for the collection and testing of the test run samples. · Maintaining the lab activates as per ISO-9001-2000, 14000 and 18000 standards. · Make arrangements and perform all environmental analysis regarding WWTP and flue gases. · Maintenance of laboratory building, furniture etc. · Research and development to improve different standards analytical procedures. · Train new laboratory technicians / analysts and also the existing staff for job rotation. · Assist in controlling inventory of laboratory chemicals and spares / accessories for different equipment and instruments.

RESPONSIBILITIES RELATED TO H.S.E · Assist in the development of departmental procedures regarding H.S.E. · Responsible for communicating H.S.E issues to departmental head. · Conduct departmental inspection of work, activities through documentation, reviews, physical tours and interviews to ensure implementation of H.S.E programmes and requirements. · Conduct environmental training for the workers and other staff. · Support measures for improving departmental environmental performance. · Participates as a member of area H.S.E committees in the absence of section head.
