Shell Companies in Indonesia
Aug 96 to Mar 99, I was Shell Bitumen Business Manager. I managed and developed Shell bitumen business including the operation of bitumen terminal facility. Traded, sold and marketed Shell bitumen with annual sales turnover of USD 15 millions.
I supervised the production quality of the Merak bulk terminal facility
I identified business opportunity, did feasibility and special study for further development of the bitumen business.
I was Shell Asia Pacific focal point for bitumen isotanks requirements and supply.
Mar 96 to Aug 96, I was assigned to Shell Australia Melbourne office as Marketing Engineer. I did Shell Bitumen Quality Study. I assisted Shell Queensland to lease about 70 isotanks for Weipa project. The project required about 5,000 metric tons of bitumen worth about A$ 1.5 million. I serviced and maintained major accounts. I assisted Marketing Manager in selling and marketing bitumen products.
Feb 90 to Mar 96, I joint the company as Aviation Products and Bitumen Sales. Prior assignment to Shell Australia I was Bitumen Business Manager.
I managed and developed Aviation Products and Bitumen business. I serviced, maintained key accounts and provided / arranged for technical advice on the use of Shell’s and affiliates products to be available to customers. In 1994 sales turnover reached USD 60 million per year.
I developed and established contacts with with Shell distributors / agents, end users, Pertamina and Public Works Department
I investigated the possibility of investment in bitumen receiving terminals and blowing plants. Resulted in Shell decision to invest in bulk bitumen terminal facility in Merak, West Java. ( USD 4 millions )
I monitored business development and liaise with Shell’s affiliates.
