Professional Experience
Over 20 years of professional experience as a supervisory capacity in Refineries Operation (Kochin refinery Ltd / Chennai Petroleum Corporation Ltd) and process Engineering (10 years in Operation of FCCU / Gas CON & Amine Treating units Gas sweetening, Gas drying / Light end fraction, LPG / Propane separation and CDU/VDU and also having 8 Years experience in Process Engineering (Technical Service) related issues of the following: Proposal new modification in pipe line and doing Hazop for the modifications. Proposal new equipments like over head condensers, addition exchangers fin fan coolers, KOD, and stabilizer re-boilers. Conducting pressure survey and Test run of yield & capacity runs. Trouble shouted Feed Gas compressor / Propane Gas compressor, propane chillers, Gas driers. Operation trouble shouted the LPG/ Propane columns for higher yields. P & I reviewed and proposing correction. Pre commissioning and Commissioned of major units and Conducted yield performance survey and plant capacity test runs. Determine and monitor operating envelopes, control systems and facility capacity and availability. Identify and analyse new process engineering technology opportunities to improve current and future facility performance. Provide emission forecasting to meet company and regulatory requirements. Monitor and model plant energy efficiencies and maintain existing models. Provide technical support to project development. Execute front end engineering studies. Develop process engineering studies and models and make recommendations to support engineering projects, field changes and Operational issues, Support the Lead process engineer in the execution of the technical design accountability for process engineering and implementing the process plan. Act as custodian of the HAZOP.
I am presently working as Process Engineer in Kuwait Nation Petroleum Company, Kuwait and coordinating M/s. UOP Ltd, UK for the study for Refining and Petroleum Sectors integration in Kuwait (Master plan for Medium & Long term Opportunities ) using linear Programming model (PIMS) and M/s Solomon Associates KNPC Refineries (Three) Process improvement study. Technical quality and technical risk evaluation of ITB’s and above proposals Identify feedstock Opportunities, Refineries and Petrochemical bottleneck constraints.
