1250 HL/Day Dewan Ethyl Alcohol Plant, Fermentation This section involves Mash Preparation, Pre-Fermentation and Fermentation. Mash Preparation section involves dilution of Molasses, addition of acid and heating of diluted Molasses. In Pre Fermentation section aerobic reaction takes place for growth of bacteria (Yeast). In Fermentation section, anaerobic fermentation of sugar takes place in the presence of bacteria (Yeast) to produce Ethyl Alcohol. This section of plant involves pneumatic and electronic control with UEC & Honeywell DCS.
Distillation This section involves Distillation and Rectification. In distillation section Ethyl Alcohol is distilled under Vacuum from Fermented Mash. In rectification section Raw Ethyl Alcohol (95%) is rectified under Pressure to remove impurities as Fusel Oils from Raw Ethyl Alcohol, and to increase concentration of Ethyl Alcohol up to 96.6%. This section of plant involves pneumatic and electronic control with Honeywell DCS. Dehydration Unit In this section Ethyl Alcohol at 96.6% is dehydrated under high pressure and strength of Ethyl Alcohol increased up to 99.9% by passing Ethyl Alcohol through Molecular Sieves. This section of plant involves pneumatic and electronic control with Honeywell DCS.
