I am attempting to obtain an offshore position in either electronics or electrical disciplines. Failing that I would equally consider starting on a more manual position such as roustabout/deckhand.
Professional Experience
On leaving school I started as a Draughtsman with a local company for 8 months.
I served 5 years in the British Army as an electronics Technician, involved in the installation, fault finding and repair of encrypted communications equipment.
When I left the army, I assisted Halliburton with a refit of the James T Choak (jack up barge) with the accommodation gallery, based in Nigeria.
I there after served 8 years in Tayside Police in my capacity as a police officer both in uniform and in CID crime squads.
When I left the police, I formed my own electrical installation company, involved in both minor repairs and new build housing. I remain working within my own company at present but wish to seek employment offshore in some capacity.
