Professional Experience
• started up and managed a local project office in Uganda (in charge of legal, financial and staffing matters), • negotiated a tax harmonization model and thus minimized local tax burden for the company, • supervised local subcontractors and evaluated works done for payment, • conducted research of the local business environment and identified prospective vendors, • established and maintained liaisons with local authorities (up to ministerial level) in order to facilitate project activities in Kenya and Uganda, searched and evaluated prospective subcontractors worldwide, • conducted face-to-face contract negotiations (high volume), • evaluated internal/external project costs, elaborated bid and other tender related documents, supervised and coordinated subcontractors, • bookkeeping, local procurement and other project related activities;
