WORK EXPERIENCE Position Held: Maintenance Engineer, Protection & Control Systems Period: May 2005 present Employing Organisation: Electricity Company of Ghana, (E.C.G.) Type of Organisation: Electricity Distribution Utility Company. Duties: Planning and executing preventive and corrective maintenance of power network protection system equipment (protection relays, ammeters,transducers, rectifiers, battery banks, instrument transformers and switchgear) Installation of the protection relays for the 33kV and 11kV power distribution network Vetting of project drawings, System disturbance investigations and corrective maintenance Function-testing and commissioning of new substation equipment Achievements: In 2008, I have led maintenance teams in rectifying system disturbances and restoring power supply at Hohoe, Kpeve, Kumasi, Koforidua, New Tafo, Kadjebi, and Jasikan My team tested, calibrated and maintained auto-recloser switchgear and protection relays in the Ashanti, Volta and Eastern regions of Ghana within target periods. Installed, wired and commissioned the 33/11kV substations at New Ashaiman, Tema; and KNUST, Kumasi Tested current transformers, overcurrent protection relays and commissioned E.C.G. stations D, E, H and A at Tema in 2006/7. Tested and commissioned the protection system for the 11/0.415 kV power system for Ohene Djan Sports Stadium, Accra. (2007) Tested CTs and relays at Volta River Authority (VRA), Newmont 161/33 kV Ahafo-Kenyasi Station, Kenyase, Brong-Ahafo (2006). Commissioned 11kV Tamco panels at E.C.G. Station B and C, Kumasi (2005/6). Commissioned new 33kV Chirano Goldmine bay at the 33/11kV Asawinso Bulk Supply Point substation. (2005)
