Professional Experience
09/2006 – 03/2009: I have worked as drilling fluids engineer with MI-SWACO Company in different oil and gas fields in Algeria such as HASSI MESSAOUD and IN SALAH, using different mud type, OBM (Versadrill, Fazepro), WBM (KCL polymer) and completion fluids. Work experience in drilling fields allowed me to build knowledge in first step of hydrocarbon exploitation and different problems encountered during the drilling and how to deal with. Main responsibilities:  Manage chemical products and mud supply to the rig.  Assure that mud properties are correct for the specific drilling environment.  Recommend drilling practice changes that will help reach the drilling objectives.  Adapt the drilling fluid system to meet the unique conditions encountered on each well.
12/2005-08/2006: Brown & Root – Condor, Algeria I completed an internship in summer 2004 and I was subsequently offered a post of process engineer upon completion of my degree. Work experience in process engineering department allowed me to build a foundation of simple process techniques and gave me an insight into an occupation that I have always been interested in. Skills acquired: - Familiarisation with PID, UID… - Initiation in HYSYS 3.2 simulation software. - General knowledge of relative engine (pumps, compressor, gas turbine).
Eductation
09/2009- present: University of Strathclyde, Glasgow MSc in sustainable engineering: chemical processing (Full time) Principal subjects: Modeling And Simulation, Safety and Environment, Advanced Separations, Environmental Impact and Sustainability, Risk Management.
2000- 2005: National polytechnic school –Algeria- Chemical engineer: second class.
Key subjects: chemical reactor, processes optimisation, petrochemical and oil refining, thermodynamics. Seminar group subject: “Energetic strategy for multinational companies (seven sisters)â€. Dissertation: ‘establishment of new correlation to predict the viscosity of pure substances, complex substances and petroleum fractions.
