I have completed a course at London South Bank University, studying Chemical and Process Engineering, accredited by The Institution of Chemical Engineers (IchemE).
I am a very sociable and lively person, who is hard working and committed to the job in hand. I have had part time work throughout my teens where I have worked and served people from a range of ages, abilities and backgrounds, and I feel I can relate to anyone making me popular to employee and colleague.
Since gaining my degree, I have worked on the FPSO Aker Smart 1 project in Singapore where I was working for the Process Engineering and Commissioning teams both in the engineering office and working onsite with the process technicians.
During two summer vacations at university I have had the opportunity to experience working in different types of engineering offices within my field of chemical and process engineering.
In the summer of 2005, I worked on a gas compression site in Zeebrugge, Belgium. During my time in Belgium I worked within the commissioning department of the company, seeing the different aspects to their jobs on a day to day basis. In the summer of 2006 I worked at an oil stabilisation plant at Seal Sands, Teesside within the technical department carrying out various day to day tasks and calculations for the reliable operation of the process.
I have learnt a lot from my time and experiences on site. These work opportunities have given me a much better understanding of how different processes are designed and how they operate which helped me greatly with my studies at university. I have become proficient in the use of proprietary office software such as Microsoft Word and Excel and also become proficient in the use of process modelling software such as HYSYS which I have used for the development of heat and material balances. I am familiar with the use of Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID’s), process design documents such as Hierarchy of Design and Input Output diagrams, the day to day running’s of a process plant, and the commissioning and start-up of processes.
I have experience working in a range of type of jobs from working in a restaurant / bar to labouring. I am a fast learning person who likes new challenges and will always put 110% into whatever I do.
