- Fluency in English both spoken and written
- Able to operate a computer PC (Microsoft Windows Applications) and (Mac-DD)
- Having a very good Mechanical knowledge
- Skill in automotive engineering
- Skill in operating machines tool : Lathe machine, milling machine, bending machine, cutting machine, grinding machine (surface and cylindrical), scrapping machine, and welding machine
- Skill in using measurement equipments such as: Vernier caliper, micrometer (inside & outside), dial indicator, projectile, AVO meter etc.
- Having a knowledge of drawing engineering
- Familiar with the rotary rigs and its components
- Skill in basic calculations for most situations on the drilling rig
- Understanding about safety policies and procedures
- Understanding about normal drilling operations: making hole, drilling mud, drilling a straight hole, casing and cementing, testing and completing
- Understanding about non-routine rig operations: controlled directional drilling, open-hole fishing, blowout prevention
- Understanding about centrifugal pumps and mud pump operation and maintenance
- Skill in draw-works operations and able to operate its brake
- Understanding about well control theory and procedures
- Understanding about well planning, directional drilling equipments and directional drilling operations
- Having experience working on ship of fishing (using 3 sets of bottom gill nets)
