Vicor Corporation, Andover, MA Dec, 07 – Aug, 08 Jr. Mechanical Designer, CAD/PCB Design Group Worked under CAD/PCB Dept, a very diverse group performing Engineering functions across multiple disciplines like Applications Engineering, Automation Engineering, Manufacturing, Process Engineering, and Test Engineering. Work Profile: Compile 3-D Component Data Base, generate or process Engineering Change Orders (ECO), 3-D Tool & Product Design for Automation Engg, create new mechanical 2-D Vicor drawings, help with the conversions of PCB “Footprints” from PADS to ALTIUM. Help create definitions of CAD packaging and naming convention for Engineering and Manufacturing. Installation, support & Maintenance of companywide CAD/CAM &CAE software. Projects:  Improved mould and cap design for an electronic DC/DC Module.  Designed & developed fixtures used on the assembly line. It also included a case study of real time process plant development and getting acquainted with software like PAnORaMA & CAEPipe besides regular classroom exercise.  ANSYS - Concurrent Analysis Private Ltd, AP – India Certified for training and a project completion in Finite Element Analysis using ANSYS.
