Study of job related documents like drawings, WPS, QCP and client specifications etc Identification and inspection of inward materials and welding consumables used in shop floor Proper implementation of WPS before/during and after welding Prepare weld map and document as per company requirement Prepare RFI before welding process is carried out and sending it to Aramco Inspectors Prepare Checklist, daily weld report, fit-up report and weld repair rate as per Aramco requirements Inspection of welding techniques, weaving shielding etc… during welding Checking root of the joint to surface of the joint & rectifying any lack o fusion or penetration in the root and undercuts on the surface Inspection of Dissimilar metal joining such as stainless steel to carbon steel non destructive test Monitoring of various welding process like GTAW, SMAW, FCAW (Auto &Semi Auto) Co ordination of NDT activities viz. RT, UT, MT and PT evaluation of discontinuities Reviewing the final package of Hydro Test, approving & releasing for Hydro Test Establishing that welding procedures are available at shop floor and ensure that it is properly implemented during production Verifying the positive material identification Daily inspection and reporting of welding activities to managers Fit up inspection and dimension inspections as per the drawings, ensuring that the jobs meet the code and client’s Requirements Verification that preheats and inter-pass temperature is done in accordance to the requirements of approved procedures During welding surveillance checking the welding parameters and correct qualification of welder according to WPS used Witnessing of UT, PT, MPI & Preparation of NDT Reports, and stage by stage weld inspection Checking that post weld heat treatment has been conducted according to the requirement Stage inspection and final inspection before PWHT or Hydro test Quality Check up and Preparation of work Completion reports as on Client acceptance After completion of final testing preparing all documents and submitting it to the client
