Professional Experience |
Practiced chemical process engineering and project engineering with international contractors and operating companies for more than 11 years and have acquired project engineering and process engineering experience in front-end and detailed design of oil and gas projects in onshore and offshore fields. Also have a very good operational experience in oil & gas plants and utilities.
Some of my accomplishments are:
Developed front-end process engineering, FEED, including simulations calculations using HYSIS, FLAERNET and PRO-II, to develop Material and Heat balances, process selection, developed process flow diagrams (PFD), design basis, isolation philosophy, drainage philosophy, and reviewed feasibility studies.
Developed detailed design for systems, equipment, instruments and P&IDs. Basic control criteria.
Developed basic control philosophy, sized packages and networks for utilities (steam boilers, water, fuel gas, nitrogen… etc.).
Prepared tender documents, contracts, and evaluated technical bids.
Provided technical services support for gas & oil plants operations, including daily production follow-up troubleshooting, test-runs, data collection, glycol efficiency & consumption, membrane evaluation, energy auditing, units/systems revamps and evaluation of technical tenders. Enforced safety and environmental regulations.
Conducted a lot of studies to raise the efficiency & productivity.
Fully acquainted with the international suppliers, engineering companies, local fabricators, chemical laboratories and relevant institutions in Libya & Egypt.
Conducted HAZOP studies. Attended HAZID sessions, Risk assessment reviews.
Provided team leadership, project engineering for mega projects.
Performed project engineering and team leadership to negotiate contracts, with licensors, vendors, and contractors (as owner representive). Reviewed project progress, schedule, budget, technical documents, and performed project quality control.
Delivered professional training for process engineers and operators.
Interviewed, recruited, evaluated performance, and developed fresh graduate engineers and operators.
Familiar with APACHE, TOTAL, SHELL, NOC Libya, WINTERSHALL, Exxon Mobil , British Petroleum (BP) and Aramco standards.
