UNIVERSAL STUDIOS/ISLANDS OF ADVENTURE - ORLANDO, FL CERTIFIED PIPE AND STRUCTURAL WELDER - 9/22/1997 - PRESENT Within both theme parks, I am responsible to weld, repair and fabricate various high pressure hydraulic lines, animatronics, and structural steel roller coasters. On an ongoing basis I have improved animatronics and structural steel components to make them more structurally and mechanically sound. I am called upon on a regular basis to replace sections of the roller coaster tracks as well as high pressure hydraulic lines. With my regular contributions, my team has consistently exceeded the company’s goal of having no down time on the park’s rides. I also perform NDT inspections with die penetration testing, and magnetic particle testing equipment. NORMAX MECHANICAL - ORLANDO, FL WELDER/FITTER 3/1996 - 2/1997 I was responsible for the fitting and welding of chilled water lines for an HVAC company. I was involved in the new construction of schools and public safety buildings. WESTBROOK MECHANICAL - ORLANDO, FL WELDER/FITTER 10/1994 - 3/1996 In addition to my key responsibilities of the fitting and welding of chilled water lines for an HVAC company, I was part of a project to reconstruct the chiller plant at Florida Hospital as well as a shutdown of the hospital chiller plant. I was also involved in the new construction of three major Orlando resort towers as well as the resort convention center.
