Professional Experience

 Functioning as a Production Manager for feedstock oil movement & storage in marine tank farm of Reliance Industries Ltd., Gujarat, India.
 Managing 6 Field Engineers, 12 Field & Panel Operators, DCS Control Room and coordinating with Economic Planning and Scheduling Department, Supply & Trade Department to achieve targets of raw materials import, uninterrupted feedstock supply to crude/FCC units ensuring complete safety of the plant and personnel.
 Ensuring reliability and integrity of pipelines and tanks by carrying out regular inspection and thickness measurements, regular audits and complying with inspection recommendations, audit findings.
 Reviewing and planning shift rosters to ensure adequate coverage of production duties, including coverage of emergency duties.
 Marine Tank Farm is having storage facilities for:
o Crude – 2.40 MMT Capacity & Imported Fuel Oil – 0.08 MMT Capacities.
o Finished products – 2.3 MMT Capacity.
o Cryogenic storage for LPG with Chiller Packages.
o Sea Water Filtration unit for supply of sea water to DESAL plant.
o Effluent Treatment Plant.
o Air Compressors for Instrument and Plant Air.
 Overseeing the Unloading operations and reconciliation of VLCC, ULCC crude oil tankers, LSWR / LSFO oil tankers and also the loading operations along with documentation for product export vessels.

Eductation

Education: B.E. (Chemical Engineering) from Bangalore University in 1997 with 65%.
Professional Qualifications

Diploma in Industrial Safety (Distance Education) from Annamalai University in 1999 with 62%.
Diploma in Chemical Technology from Institute of Chemical Tech, DOTE in 1993 with 70%.
Certification
UOP Process Design Course conducted by UOP, US, at RIL, Jamnagar.
NIR Modelling conducted by CAMO India, Bangalore at RIL, Jamnagar.
Management Development Program conducted by IIM, Bangalore.

Successfully carried out the commissioning of:
External / internal floating roof tanks up to 92 meter diameter, cone roof tanks. 75 number of Hot Taps in Crude / Product Pipelines.
48” Crude receipt line, 30” product export lines to SPM, 12”/ 24” Heat Traced LSFO Lines and an 18” piggable line for multi product export.
Surge Protection System for Crude Receipt Lines.
Propane Chiller Compressor for propane storage and export to Jetty.
Custody transfer meters for Jetty/SBM loading.
Segregated facilities for SEZ /DTA refineries.
Reviewed all functional design specifications and design engineering specifications, implemented and carried out FAT/SAT of Offsite Applications like Blending Optimisation Supervisory System (BOSS), Batch Manager (BTM), Order Movement Management (OMM) / Movement Automation System (MAS), Tank Inventory System (TIS) for both crude and new product handling at Invensys, Baarn, The Netherlands.Instrumental in raising Plant Change Order (CAPEX/MOC) and implementing. Developed databases in MS Access for storing extensive data related to tankers and daily shift activities including data analysis and data retrieval. Pivotal role in reducing the demurrage on vessels by ensuring availability of quality products by continuous coordination with quality control department, EPS, S&T, port operation centre and maintenance department.
