Employed as a HSE Officer with the following responsibilities-
Advisor to the Company on all HSE matters including regulatory compliance and reporting requirements.§ Developing HSE policies/procedures as needed and continually revising existing systems.§ Spearheaded the completion of a Quantitative Risk Assessment for all Operational areas of the facility and assist with their revision.§ Development and execution of HSE Audits and Operational Reviews plans§ Accident/ Incident investigation and reporting.§ HSE Training for Staff- (Job Safety Analysis; Orientations, Work Permitting; Hazardous and Dangerous Materials, Forklift Safety, Emergency Preparedness and Response, Accident and Incident Investigation and Reporting)§ Environmental Monitoring and reporting for Corporate and Environmental Management Authority requirements. Responsible for obtaining Certificate of Environmental Clearance (CEC) for all new development projects. Issuing of Work permits and assisting in Tool Box talks.§ Conduct HSE surveillances and walkthroughs to assess and report on compliance to safe working procedures§ Inspect and ensure operability for static systems – fire extinguishers; fire alarm systems; fire water system; fire hydrants; Ambulance.§ Assisting in the conducting of drills and updating of emergency response plans.§ Represents Lake Asphalt at the Labidco Tenants HSE committee meetings.
