Professional Experience
13 years as a panel Operator (DCS) and as an Acting Shift Supervisor in Ammonia manufacturing industry. Presently working in a commissioning project of 2*2200 MTPD Ammonia production plant as a senior panel/board operator and as an Acting supervisor , M/s. Qatar fertilizer company (QAFCO-5 project) QATAR since October 2009. Since may 2005 to September 2009 worked in ammonia 2 (QAFCO-2) as a panel operator
Steam and Methane reforming in the tubular reformer with balanced draught furnace, CO2 removal from ammonia synthesis gas for urea production and high pressure radial flow synthesis gas conversion facility for the production of liquid Ammonia.
Having experience in the following unit operations: Process plant: • Reactors, Catalytic Reactor, Distillation columns, Absorption, Stripping, Filtration, Evaporation, Heat Exchangers etc. • Had responsibility of Process Control, Quality Assurance and preparation of Daily Production Reports. Inventory Reports, Manpower Planning and job delegation etc. • Having thorough knowledge of Sulphur removal, synthesis gas conversions, steam Methane reforming, acid gas removal and purge gas recovery (cryogenic system, membrane separation & adsorption) systems, utilities, etc. Utilities:
• Operation of De mineralized water plant • Operation of Auxiliary boilers • Operation of Instrument air and Work air compressors • Ammonia storage tank operation and handling of export system. Tank capacity 45000 tons & 20000 tons each. • Ammonia export to ship at the rate of 1000 TPH. • Gas sweetening plant for sulfur removal system (H2S REMOVAL). Machines: • Operation of ROLLS ROYS gas turbines as drives for compressors. • Dry gas seal compressors. • Experience in operation of balanced & natural draught furnaces, • Extraction cum condensing type HP steam turbines(110 bar)& MP steam turbines, • Multi stage high pressure centrifugal compressors (SYNGAS) and multistage MP centrifugal compressors, • Multistage HP centrifugal pumps (BFW PUMPS) etc.
