Dubai Petroleum Company Dubai, U.A.E June 2010 August 2010 Intern Petroleum engineer Project title: "Overcoming the limitations of Empirical & Mechanistic models to optimize mature Gas-lifted Water-flooded fields". Objective: To identify alternate methods for gas-lift optimization of high water-cut wells in which the Multi-phase flow correlations had limited application. This integrated the use of Multi-phase flow meter data ( from agar meters installed on specific wells) from well tests which were used to evaluate whether it can be helpful in overcoming these limitations. Interacted with Offshore Gas-lift engineers on a regular basis to understand the functioning of multi-phase agar meters which integrated a vital part of the project and worked in the office gleaning more information from the whole production department. Prepared a technical report detailing the research and work performed on the project.
Fujairah Cement Industries Fujairah, U.A.E December 2008 - June 2009 Trainee - Chemical engineer Responsibilities: Assisted the Shift manager in his daily routines and kept a control on the quality of the product handled by the Laboratory department. Checking the proper functioning of each stage of the machinery(the crusher, the rotary kiln, etc.) by analysing the sample taken from these production units in the plant (requiring field work), testing samples and taking corrective action accordingly. Quality was to be analysed in the X-ray room and any major deviations from standard protocol had to be monitored on an hourly basis.
