SUMMER TRAINING 2009 : Entreprise Tunisienne d’Activités Pétrolières (ETAP) Duration : two months. Purpose : « Initializing to the acquisition, processing and interpretation of seismic reflection ; Application : Oil evaluation of El Jem permit by the seismic reflection technique ». Learning : - Methodology of the acquisition, processing and interpretation of seismic reflection technique ; - Methodology of risk analysis and estimation of reserves of an oil prospect.
2008 : Cement factory Jbel Oust – CIMPOR group Duration : one month. Purpose : « Extraction of the raw materials (limestone and marly limestone), quality control of cements ». Learning : - Understand the different procedures leading to extraction and preparation of the raw materials in the mine ; - Mastering the different physical, mechanical and chemical tests ensuring the control of cement’s quality according to the Tunisian Norms (NT).
BLOCKED TRAINING FIELD TRIP November 2008 : Geologic mapping Duration : fifteen days. Purpose : «Mapping of Jebel Meloussi and periclinal closure of Jebel Kebar ». February 2008 : Geologic cross-sections Duration : ten days. Purpose : « Establishing geologic cross-sections in the southern and northern mountains chains of Chotts Jerid and Elfejej, and in Gafsa region (Jebel Chemsi and Jebel Orbata) ».
