1. Senior Engineer, Gasification & IGCC Technology, Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL), Trichy, India (October 2010 – Present) Process technology development for Pressurized Fluidized Bed Gasification, experiments planning for process improvement on existing Demonistration plant, process capability studies on Coal to chemicals application. Process Engineering coordination for upcoming 182 MW IGCC Plant at Vijayawada (Customer: APGENCO, India) using BHEL’s IGCC technology. Process evaluation and planning for Coal to Chemicals & Liquids projects. 2. Lead Process Engineer, Gasification & IGCC Technology, GE India Technology Centre, Bangalore, India (April 2008 – September 2010) Lead Process Engineer for Gasification and IGCC Technology, Process Models development in ProII, Process Simulations, Generating HMBs from Simulations, PFD and PIDs development for Licensing Projects, Process equipment & Instrument datasheets preparation and review for quality. Carry out Pre-feasibility /Feasibility studies for IGCC Project enquiries from customers. Equipment sizing, Pumping calculations and System Integration for whole IGCC process Island.
3.Manager, Central Technical Services, Naphtha Cracker Plant, Hazira Petrochemical complex, Reliance Industries Ltd., Surat, India (July 2007 – April 2008)
Process monitoring and analysis, reporting process abnormalities and process constraints to the plant management and preparation of mitigation plan, technical advice to Plant Operations team, Modeling plant data with ASPEN PLUS and simulations, updation of PFDs, PIDs, process datasheets, Hazop, Prestart Up Safety Review (PSUSR) and Process improvement plans.
4. Scientific Officer/Engineer, Heavy Water Plant (Hydrogen-Ammonia-Water High Pressure Process), Department of Atomic Energy, Govt of India, Baroda, India (June 2003 – July 2007) Ensuring smooth plant operations, regular field visits for finding process abnormalities, Clearances and Issuing Safety Work Permits to Maintenance departments, Shift Incharge responsibility, Coordination with chemical lab, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil and Instrument departments for Plant related issues, Manpower Management, Normal/Abnormal/Emergency/Shutdown/Turndown Operations.
