Professional Experience
•Project managing the implementation of the new SAP system, Risk Management unit and banking facilities for newly setup subsidiary of PETRONAS •Ensuring all financial operations of the new PETRONAS subsidiary are managed in strict accordance with the local’s statutory requirements •Responsible for organising and producing both monthly and quarterly management reports for review by the Board of Directors. •Preparing all consolidated financial statements and tax computations to be submitted to the Registrar of Companies and Inland Revenue Board. •Closely monitoring and evaluating all GL postings and accounting schedules prepared by subordinates. •Processing supplier invoices in line with relevant company policies and procedures and within strict time frames. •Undertaking the monthly reconciliation of all inter-company transactions and accurately preparing annual budgets. •Playing a key role in the development and introduction of the company’s Limit of Authority Manual for the new setup of PETRONAS subsidiary. •Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with both internal and external agencies and professionals including Auditors, Tax Agents, Inland Revenue Board and the company’s corporate secretariat. •Providing a prompt and appropriate response in dealing with any financial or tax issues and remaining up to date with all matters surrounding Financial Reporting Standards, Income Tax's and Insurance Act an the Inland Revenue Board. •Responsible as the Tax Advisor in highlighting the potential issues/ risk and propose a solution for Technical Services projects and Sales contracts for various location namely in South Africa, Colombo, Sudan, Hong Kong, Thailand and Singapore.
