Professional Experience
Working experience with Holcim Lanka (Pvt) Limited in the cement plant. Involved in preventive maintenance routine in various electrical systems, PLC & LOGO programming industrial automation and control systems and shutdown period maintenance work.
And also exposure with cement plant operation such as crusher, raw mill, kiln, cement mill and the packaging plant and the maintenance section:- gears, compressors, piston blower, Condition based monitoring (CBM).
Duties and responsibilities
• Report to the Head, Operations and lead a team in maintenance of plant and equipment at a 1000 TPD cement plant. • Look after the mechanical and electrical maintenance of equipments like :-cement mill, raw mills, coal mills, All type of pneumatic &mechanical materials handling equipments ,all type of separators ,crusher, drier, packing m/c of different types, packing lines ,compressors of different models and cranes, sensors, PLC and motors • Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules to improve operation of the plant and equipments. • Responsible for ensuring adherence to statutory norms related to safety, emissions and pollution control. • Schedule the works for technicians for their daily routine. • Reduced power consumption in the pump house by introducing the VSD drive for the motors. • Maintained a 100% safety record by introducing the cardinal rules. • Automated the limestone unloading system by introducing the IR sensor. • Coordinate the projects which were undertaken by foreign engineers.
