Experience / Work history Qatar Liquefied Gas Company Ltd., Doha, Qatar (Jan 1996 present) Lead Buyer/ Contracts Engineer (Expansion Project)/ Senior Contracts Specialist - Jan 2004 present: Qatargas expansion Project consists of 4 subprojects including an offshore development, onshore LNG plant, LNG shipping, and an LNG regasification terminal. Each of these subprojects has multiple EPC contracts. Job responsibility involves working with tenders, acting as a link between the Project Managers, Engineers, etc., bid work preparation, delivering the contract deliverables within an extremely challenging schedule, achieve credibility with the Project, Operations and Maintenance Teams, enabling technical contribution to the contract process and execution of contracts. Senior Buyer (Technical) -Jan 1996 Dec 2003: Job responsibility:- Sourcing a wide range of components, materials and services required for various projects related to Gas field, Plant operations and delivering optimum quality and lead times at most competitive costs. This involves working closely with Project Engineers, Plant / Field Maintenance, Warehouse etc to ascertain schedule and technical requirements to meet planned operational needs to predetermined targets. (1991 1995 Dec) Job responsibility:- Procuring materials and equipment for Oil and Gas field operation, Co-ordination with Project Engineers, Drilling Department, Production Field Services, Stores etc, inviting tenders, scrutinising offers, placement of purchase orders, follow-up, customs clearance, initiating payment procedures etc.
