Duties include:
Supervising and coordinating of all lifting operations and installations of various tonnages ranging from 50t and above.
Monitoring the various contracting companies practices are being followed. Monitoring and advising the various contracting companies in their training programmes relating to Lifting Operations and their overall lifting operations.

Ensuring that all cranes and loose lifting gear are audited to approve contractor standards, whichever are most demanding, in order to verify safe working conditions at the various locations where lifting operation is carried out for the project.
Reviewing the inspection procedure of the deteriorated parts of cranes and lifting gears which affect load bearing and ensuring equipment parts are in good operation safe conditions. Carrying out testing, certification, and operational test before equipment are put to use.
Ensuring all lifting equipment being used by the contract companies is visually inspected every 6 months by a competent person within their own organization or by an approved third party inspection company and that the colour code for that period is applied.
Ensuring that the competency of contractors’ “responsible persons” is verified. Participating when necessary in incident investigations involving lifting operations.
