The Project Engineer is responsible to the Project Manager for delivery of allocated projects from concept to handover to achieve Company Program and objectives.
Professional Experience
- Takes detailed briefings from the company internal stakeholders, i.e., Hub Managers, Client, Retail requirement, Fuel Deliveries, Procurement, etc., and manages stakeholders alignment. - Visits sites and undertakes the detailed scoping of the works including time cost, stakeholder, and risk issues. Prepares preliminary schedules and arranges layouts through the Design Manager and drafting resources. - Manages site investigations, and coordinates permitting services issues. Coordinates and oversees preparation of design and contract documentation with Design Manager. - In conjunction with the Tendering Manager coordinates the procurement process and issues, receives and evaluate tenders. - Manages the procurement of construction works and equipment in accordance with the procurement plans. - Participates in Pre-Construction Review Meetings with contractor. Provides required advice on design issues arising during construction. - Collates and forwards data for entry into reporting systems. - Prepares monthly and phase reports on time, cost and HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, and Environment) for the controls managers, and the Program Manager. - Arranges for the Site Supervisor to organize and contributes to Pre-Construction Meetings and coordination of stakeholders activities. Manages interface with any client operations. - Ensures that the Site Supervisor is reviewing site safety plan and JSA’s(Job Safety Analysis) in accordance with company safety objectives, is carrying out safety inspections during construction, documenting findings and implementing recommendations for improvement. - Ensures that the Site Supervisor is reviewing construction schedules, monitoring and reporting on the progress of work. Overviews the construction performance and quality achievements. - Reviews contract security and insurances, superintendents contract including certifying payments, authorizing extension of time and variations (under delegation), managing provision of design information to clarify documentation. - Manages hot and cold work permit management. - Inspects site with company Coordinator and stakeholders, completes inspection checklist and coordinates rectification of defects. - Coordinates authority approvals, obtain “as built” drawings and essential services information and issues certificate of practical completion.
