Statoil is opening an office in Doha, capital of Qatar, to extend the existing representation of its International Exploration & Production (INT) business area in the Middle East.
“This country has big gas reserves, and market trends for that commodity are very promising,” notes Arnfinn J?ssang, who has been appointed to manage the new office.
That applies particularly to natural gas which has been liquefied for shipment to Asia and the USA.
The Middle East is one of the regions regarded by Statoil as interesting in terms of future business opportunities.
The new office is located in a business centre where a number of international companies are based.
