The Filtration and Separation Division of Parker Hannifin Corporation has announced its participation in the Rockwell Automation Encompass TM Product Partner Program. This program will allow Rockwell customers to quickly locate complementary products that best solve any application challenge, specifically wet electrical cabinets found in wash down areas of meat, dairy, beverage and other industrial plants. Parker Hannifin manufactures the Balston Cabinet Dryers which are designed to eliminate moisture and dust inside electrical cabinets and control panels. These Cabinet Dryers are critical components that extend and enhance Rockwell Automation installations.
The Cabinet Dryers utilize hollow fiber membrane technology to create a dry air purge without the use of electricity or moving parts. They are ruggedized for placement in wash down areas and will eliminate electrical component failures saving customers thousands of dollars in component costs and process down time. The high efficiency coalescing prefilter removes oil, dirt and liquid water (should this really say liquid water?) commonly found in compressed air systems. The hollow fibers reduce the dewpoint of the air to provide a clean dry atmosphere inside the electrical cabinet. Markets served include meat and beverage, oil and gas, water/wastewater, and other industrial installations. The dryers also create a slight positive pressure to keep out unwanted dust found in mines, bakeries, cement factories, foundries and other dusty environments.
