On Dec 29th, Sanmen NPP Phase I Project before Service and First in-service Inspection Technical Service Contract was signed in Wuhan. The signing of this contract is important for punctuality, safely, and properly operation of the world’s first AP1000 nuclear power units. It means that China totally has the ability to undertake the 3th generation nuclear power units before and in-service technical inspection.
The contract was signed by China Nuclear Power Operation Technology Co., Ltd and Sanmen Nuclear Power Co.,Ltd. All of the equipments and technology related to AP1000 nuclear power units before and in-service inspection was included, such as reactor pressure vessel inspection equipment and technology; steam generator inspection equipment and technology; pump, valve, and pipeline inspection equipments and technology, etc.
