Ghorab: Egypt Oil Production isn’t Affected by Unrest

Eng Abdullah Ghorab confirmed that till now the production rate isn’t affected by the political situation in Egypt and hasn’t changed from its normal rate of 685 thousand barrels of oil.

He stated that the development plans are going at their normal rate and further investment in exploration and development of oil and gas fields is expected.

Also the foreign Companies, working in Egypt, have put plans through the current fiscal year targeting increased development, exploration, production and to intensify operations in their concession areas to meet the domestic demand for energy as well as the Ministry of Petroleum's obligations related to outstanding contracts.
