Kinetic Hydrate Inhibitors, which are used to hinder the formation of hydrate in gas and condensate transmission pipelines, were domestically produced and utilized at Tang-e-bijar gas field.
On KHI project and its advantages Mehdi Fakour, ICOFC Managing Director, said the project was implemented by a local company with ICOFC as its client in 2 years, and was successfully tested at Tang-e-bijar gas field.
"In addition to the indigenous technology achieved by the company for the first time in Iran in this regard and 30 times decline in the consumption of KHI materials, high amount of energy saving was materialized through the project", Fakour was quoted by ICOFC Public Relations as saying.
Kinetic Hydrate Inhibitors are used to reduce corrosion rate up to 50 percent as well.
