The first deck of South Pars Gas Field phase 12, as the largest phase of the South Pars Gas Field, will be set up this summer.
Speaking to Shana, Petropars managing director, Mohammad Javad Shams, made the above remarks adding drilling operations at the phase’s platform A had been completed while drilling in platform C will start in next 20 days.
The second deck of the phase 12 will be installed in second half of current Iranian calendar year to March 2013 while related gas processing plant and production of 28 million cubic meters of sour gas per day will come on line before the end of current year, the official noted.
Shams further said that laying three parallel gas pipelines of the phase with 110 kilometers length had been completed.
He referred to successful experience of Petropars in launching phases 6-8, 15 and 16 of the South Pars in recent years adding the company is ready to take responsibility of launching South Pars phase 12 upon the request of Petroleum Ministry.
18 wells have been drilled in phase 12 and drilling operations have made progress by 70 percent, Shams said, adding two drilling rigs are present in the phase while another one will join them in next month.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Shams reported of 6.9 billion dollars investment in the project adding up to now NaftIran Intertrade Company (NICO) has allocated 5.5 billion dollars to the phase development.
Recently managing director of Pars Oil and Gas Company (POGC), Mousa Souri, said two units of the phase would come online this year with production capacity of 25 million cubic meters per day.
Production plan of South Pars phase 12 plans to produce 3 billion cubic feet of gas per day for injection to national gas network and delivery to LNG units. Production of 120 thousand barrels of gas condensate and 750 tons of sulfur per day are the other targets of the phase’s development plan.
