Managing director of Iranian Gas Engineering and Development Company (IGEDC) says construction the third section of sixth Iran’s gas trunk line (IGAT-6) which is going to convey Iran’s gas to Europe, has progressed by 48 percent.
IGEDC’s managing director, Alireza Gharibi, told Shana that this section’s length stands at 620 kilometers covering the distance between Dehgolan and Bazargan in West Azerbaijan province near the border with Turkey, adding construction of the pipeline which started last year, has been completed by nearly a half.
He said the project needs 970 million euro investment adding 770 million euro will be provided by a foreign company in the form of finance and the remainder will be met by domestic banks.
Financial contract of the section will be signed with the foreign company in near future, while a number of domestic banks have invested some money in the project, according to Gharibi.
