The first high capacity Mobile Oil Separator (MOS) unit that has been made by Karoon Oil And Gas Exploration Company’s experts will be unveiled during the State Week in September.
Karoon Oil And Gas Exploration Company’s managing director, Mohsen Dehanzadeh made the remarks adding the unit has been made to prevent pollution during repair of oil wells.
Construction of the unit started late last year and is in on the verge of completion, the official said.
He added that all the parts and equipments needed for the construction of the unit were picked from the warehouse of National Iranian Southern Oil Company (NISOC) and 400 million rials ware spent for construction of it.
On the differences between Mobile Oil Treatment (MOT) and MOS units, Dehanzadeh said MOT has been used by Karoon Oil And Gas Exploration Company since 13 years ago adding even though the two units have some similarities but MOS is somehow a mobile plant with different capabilities.
Nameplate capacity of MOS is 8 thousand barrels per day having higher capacity in comparison with similar units were made in recent years by subsidiaries of the NISOC.
