Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) informed that one worker died from injuries he suffered as a result of an incident in one of the company's locations.
Deputy Managing Director of the Administrative and Financial Affairs and spokesman of the company Khaled Mathi Al-Khamis told Kuwait News Agency that the incident occurred while the worker was removing sand from a hole near an oil reservoir at gathering center No. 1 where he fell in the hole after a sudden collapse of the soil.
Al-Khamis added that the worker was rushed to the nearby hospital for treatment but died after arrival. A committee of inquiry to find out circumstances of the incident will be formed, he concluded.
