The Oil Ministry has on its agenda the construction of three refineries for oil and gas condensates as well as refurbishing a number of other refineries as a result of which the issue of gasoline shortages and its importation would be tackled, noted here on Sunday, Oil Minister Kazem Vaziri Hamaneh.
He added, the ministry was building more than 28 petrochemical plants and if everything went smoothly, they would prove to be successful projects.
Commenting on the construction of a petrochemical plant in Chabahar, the oil minister said, the issue was being discussed adding, however, the project called for the establishment of a pipeline to carry the natural gas from Assaluyeh in the southeastern shores of the Persian Gulf to Sistan-Blauchestan Province located in the southwestern shores of the Persian Gulf.
Elsewhere in his comments he referred to the latest developments in the contracts concluded on the development of the phases 11 and 13 of the South Pars oil and gas development phases and said the two phases were designated for the liquefied natural gas (LNG) production purposes. He further added, the work was going on satisfactorily.
