Scope of Work
Nitration Grade Toluene
Purchasing specification:
1- Color: not darker than 20 max on the platinum – cobalt scals.
2- Distillation: total distillation range at 760 pressures not more than 1.0 c° including the temperature of 110.6 c°.
3- Acid wash colour: not darker than no.2 colour standard.
4- Acidity: no free acid: that is no evidence of acidity.
5- Sp. gr. 15.5 c°, 0.869 to 0.873.
6- Sulfur compounds: free of h2s and so2.
7- Copper corrosion: copper strip should not show gray or black deposit or discoloration.
Packaging:
1- Material is to be delivered in iso bulk liquld containers (blc).
2- Material is to be delivered in bulk by road truck containers.
Note:
1- This material is mixed with mek to be used in solvent dewaxing units.
2- Industrial tolouene (toluol), may be used with the same extraction power
3- 5 liter sample must be submitted for lab tests.
