The 9th Edition of MOC – Offshore Mediterranean Conference and Exhibition
April 17 - 19, 2018 in Alexandria, EGYPT.
Held under the patronage of H.E. Eng. Tarek El Molla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources of Egypt, the Offshore Mediterranean Conference and Exhibition 2018 will host some 500 companies from 25 countries, with more than 15.000 visitors set to attend the show.
Set against the backdrop of reduced global demand and depressed prices the need to ensure full asset optimisation and efficiency has never been greater. With the discovering of Zohr, Egypt plays a pivotal role in supplying global demand. With this in mind, producers and end consumers look to Egypt as field leader in the optimisation of upstream and midstream oil and gas assets. Thus MOC, hosted in Alexandria, the hub of the North Africa oil&gas world, provides a truly unique platform to assess the key fundamentals and drivers forging the global markets.
With reduced refining margins across the global oil and gas industry, as well as depressed yet stabilising oil pricing, the need to innovate has also never been greater. Technological innovation allows both regional, national and independent oil companies the chance to enhance the bottom line whilst boosting asset throughputs. Reduced demand and per-barrel pricing as well as the emergence of new regional competitors makes for a turbulent yet exciting time in the region.
MOC was founded back in 2000to bring together those crucial elements of the chain and is a must attend event for regional and global sector professionals.
Held as per tradition in Alexandria, this year sees the9th edition of MOC, the Offshore Mediterranean Conference and Exhibition, and is set to draw somefifteen thousand industry leaders, technical experts and decision makers to this truly unique platform to discuss the global and regional challenges facing the Oil & Gas industry of Egypt and Northern Africa.
Both internationally and from within the country, MOC has enjoyed steady growth over the past 8 editionswith a successful 23% annual growth rate. The MOC 2016show exceeded expectations with a record attendance of more than 10,000visitors. With current demand we are expecting some 15.000 visitors over the three daysin April 2018.In the past 8 editions MOC has played host to more then 3.500 companies from more than 50 countries, with 40% of exhibitors from Egypt and 60% of exhibitors from international countries.
With Egypt which has over 70 trillion cubic feet of proven gas reserves with Zohr, the largest gas discovery in the Mediterranean, accounting for 30 trillion cubic feet of natural gas alone, MOC exhibition becomes your gateway and business opportunity for the Oil & Gas business in Egypt.
Combined with 4 billion barrels of proven oil reserves, makes Egypt one of the largest oil and gas producers in Africa and in a strong position to become the regional oil and gas hub within the next five years.
INTERNATIONAL PARTICIPATION AT MOC REMAINS STRONG
As with previous shows, bothlocal and regional attendance remains high and continues to be mirrored by considerable international participation.
With companies coming from as far afield as China and USA,recognising the unique market access potential that MOC offers, they are using the show to introduce their products and services to the Northern Africanmarket.
