Africa Oil & Power (AOP) is returning to Cape Town for the fifth edition, uniting Africa’s investors and leaders in the oil and gas, power, and downstream industries. For the first time, AOP 2021 will invite global attendees to participate via a new virtual format, alongside the in-person conference and host the Africa Renewables Forum, the Africa LNG Forum, and the Energy Finance Forum. This will be in line with the vision of South Africa’s Department of Mineral Resources and Energy and government and private sector partners from all four corners of the continent.

Join us for three days of deal-making and discussions focused on Africa’s energy transition, industrialization, regional business, and economic transformation, under the theme #InvestWithoutBoundaries. The conference enjoys the partnership and endorsement of the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy of South Africa, the South African Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the South African Oil & Gas Alliance and the South Africa-China Economic and Trade Association.
AOP 2019 was held at CTICC 1 in Cape Town, under the theme #MakeEnergyWork, which featured keynotes and panel discussions on upstream oil and gas, energy infrastructure and power.
The conference was attended by H.E. GwedeMantashe, Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy, South Africa; H.E. Gabriel Mbaga Obiang Lima, Minister of Mines & Hydrocarbons of Equatorial Guinea and H.E. Abdirashid Mohamed Ahmed, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Somalia.
Representing South Africa’s energy sector were, CEF Group; PetroSA; the South African National Energy Development Institute and the Petroleum Agency of South Africa (PASA).
