Companies demonstrating an outstanding commitment to strengthening business relationships with their supply chain have been recognised by Offshore Energies UK (OEUK) at its flagship business development event at Aberdeen’s P&J Live venue.

OEUK presented the Supply Chain Principles awards at Share Fair which is hosted with the support of the North Sea Transition Authority. Together both organisations focus on connecting suppliers with key industry buyers across energy sectors to boost opportunities for them to work collaboratively on future energy projects.

Katy Heidenreich, OEUK’s supply chain and people director, said: “The Supply Chain Principles awards are based on feedback from the industry’s Working as One survey. Suppliers are encouraged to rate the cooperative behaviours of their clients and this year we’ve seen double the number of companies achieving gold awards. Ten operators and major contractors have been recognised for excellent performance in priority areas including prompt payment of invoices, fair allocation of risk and reward between buyer and supplier, plus openness to supply-chain-led innovation.”

Pauline Innes, Director of Supply Chain and Decommissioning at the NSTA, said: “At last year’s awards I urged more companies to go for gold, so it is great news that twice as many have made it to the top of the podium in 2024.”

It is a positive sign that more companies are getting the message that engaging with the supply chain early and treating vendors fairly is crucial to capitalising on energy transition opportunities.”

This year the highest performing companies are Centrica Energy Storage Limited, CNR International (U.K.) Limited, Dana Petroleum, Equinor, Harbour Energy plc, Neptune E&P UK Limited, Serica Energy (UK) Limited, Spirit Energy, TAQA Bratani Limited and THREE60 Energy Limited.

Since 2023, more companies have earned silver awards. Comprising both operators and major contractors, they comprise Anasuria Operating Company Limited, bp, Global Energy (Engineering & Construction) Limited, INEOS UK SNS Limited, Ithaca Energy (UK) Limited, NEO Energy Upstream Limited, Petrofac Facilities Management Limited, Repsol Resources UK Limited and TotalEnergies E&P UK Limited.

Baker Hughes Limited, Shell U.K. Limited, SLB (formerly Schlumberger) and Subsea 7 earned Bronze awards.

The Share Fair format comprises presentations from operators, developers and tier 1 contractors on future project activity, one-to-one meetings with key procurement decision makers plus extensive opportunities for suppliers to network with industry peers and exhibit.
