Plagazi Included in Quantron Publication Detailing Importance of Waste Hydrogen Technologies

In the wake of Quantron’s and Plagazi’s strategic collaboration agreement, Quantron has now published a paper on the potential of waste-to-hydrogen (WtH) technologies as energy sources for fuel cell vehicles, where Plagazi is mentioned as a key hydrogen producer in the sector.

The paper details the challenges, opportunities, and environmental benefits of WtH as a pathway for large-scale hydrogen production from waste, contributing to a circular and further decarbonized economy. Quantron and Plagazi have a unique opportunity to materialize these benefits throughout Germany and Europe through a collaboration which would enable the strongest advantages of both companies; Quantron’s vast reach and easily implemented, emissions-free transport fleet powered by Plagazi’s location-flexible and large-scale hydrogen production solution.

The Quantron publication comes in the wake of the announcement of the German Hydrogen Strategy Update, further detailing the transition to a hydrogen economy and what is required to achieve it. A significant takeaway from the strategy is the increased promotion and recognition of the potential of WtH technologies, which will prove invaluable for Plagazi as an upcoming pioneer in the WtH sector in our opportunity to gain ground in what will become one of the biggest hydrogen markets in Europe. Considering the forecasted size of the European hydrogen market (20 million tonnes by 2030) and the potential feedstock supply available for WtH technologies (200+ million tonnes of landfilled waste per year), Plagazi and Quantron possesses a unique opportunity to capitalize early on the hydrogen market growth.
