On April 5 2024, Thai Binh factory – PV GAS HAI PHONG, in collaboration with the Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department - Thai Binh Provincial Police, conducted a large-scale training session on fire fighting and rescue operations and disaster prevention at Tien Hai Gas Dispatching Center, with a drill involving a flange joint between the gas pipeline and the V-401 separator being loosened, causing gas and condensate leaks and igniting due to heat sources.
After nearly an hour of practice, the fire fighting and rescue operations achieved good results. Gas leaks were extinguished, the injured were rescued, and property was preserved. The drill was carried out according to plan without any incidents.
Subsequently, on April 9, the Thai Binh factory continued to conduct a disaster prevention drill according to the approved plan as the stormy season is approaching soon. The scenario presented was a level 10 storm hitting the coastal and inland areas of Tien Hai/Thai Thuy districts where gas facilities are located, requiring rescue operations/cleanup at the scene.
The drills were planned closely to the actual situation of the facility, and participating forces strictly followed the orders to master rescue procedures, while ensuring compliance with the processes and regulations.
