Iraq Minister of Oil Receives a World Bank Delegation

Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Minister of Oil, Mr. Hayan Abdul Ghani, received a World Bank delegation headed by Mr. Nader Muhammad, Regional Director for the Middle East and North Africa, accompanied by Mr. Richard Abdel Nour, Director of the World Bank office in Iraq.

During the meeting, bilateral relations were discussed, and the importance of the Transparency Initiative (EITI) and its effective role in improving governance, resource management, and combating corruption in Iraq were emphasized.

The meeting was attended by a number of officials in the relevant departments in the ministry.
