LS Eco Energy (CEO Lee Sang-ho) will supply a large-capacity power distribution system to the data center (IDC) of a Vietnamese state-run internet company.
LS Eco Energy announced on the 18th that its Vietnamese production subsidiary LSCV will supply IDC bus ducts to Viettel Net.
The products will be supplied to a large-scale IDC that Viettelnet is building in the Hwarak high-tech complex near Hanoi.
The company said, “Using bus ducts in IDC can reduce power consumption by more than 30% compared to wires,” and added, “We will actively expand the market with the bus duct solution developed specifically for IDC.”
Bus duct is a high value-added product that supplies power by placing a plate-shaped conductor inside a metal case. It is used instead of wires when supplying large amounts of power in plants, buildings, apartments, etc.
A company official said, “Vietnam has implemented the ‘Cyber ??Security Act’ and is forcing global IT companies to store key data in Vietnam.” He added, “The IDC market is expected to grow by more than 10% per year on average until 2028.”
LS Eco Energy recorded its highest ever operating profit in the first quarter thanks to expanded exports to North America and Europe, and is expecting record-breaking performance for the year as well. In addition, we are strengthening cooperation with LS Cable and System and LS Marine Solutions to expand the global submarine cable business.
