RSK Group Joins the Board of the Global Wind Energy Council

The RSK Group has further strengthened its relationship with the Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC) following the appointment of RSK’s Operations Director for Asia-Pacific, Jessica Finch, to its board of directors.

The appointment will support GWEC’s focus on driving forward sustainable development and renewable energy projects globally. Since 2023, the RSK Group has been a Global Player member of GWEC, contributing its expertise in developing sustainable solutions and shaping industry standards and policies.

Jessica said: “Being a GWEC board member is a tremendous opportunity for the RSK Group to contribute to the advancement of the global wind energy sector. I am particularly focused on driving sustainable development practices and fostering innovation in environmental and social governance.

“By collaborating with industry leaders and policymakers, we aim to help shape policies that support the growth of renewable energy and ensure a positive environmental impact. Our participation underscores RSK’s commitment to promoting a sustainable future and making meaningful contributions to the global wind energy agenda.”

The RSK Group’s integrated expertise across research and development, consultancy and on-the-ground delivery places it in a unique position to advise on industry priorities, initiatives and policies across the wind energy sector and broader sustainable development activities. Together with its more than 200 companies in over 40 countries, RSK can offer the council a global perspective. As worldwide ambitions to achieve net zero emissions targets by 2030 approach, developing strong working relationships with the council and peer organisations on its board, such as Vestas, Siemens Energy, Řrsted, Iberdrola and Equinor, will directly support the delivery of meaningful action.

Jessica brings more than a decade of experience in business management and a degree in environmental science to her new GWEC role. She has played a pivotal role in business transformations, mergers and acquisitions, significantly enhancing the company’s presence in the Asia-Pacific marine markets through her strategic leadership in managing commercial operations and corporate development. Jessica’s focus is on advancing the growth of the offshore wind industry, working with leading companies to maximise asset potential through innovative solution design across the full asset life cycle.

At the RSK Group, Jessica collaborates with global partners to develop and implement solutions for operational challenges to net zero. She also sits on the British Chambers of Commerce energy committees in Vietnam, the Philippines and Singapore and collaborates with British embassies to facilitate industry engagement.
